--Your Number One Fan--

Cheong Cho Yee faced the bright lights with a meaningful smile. Next to her was her other four group members; her best friends. She looked at Park Soo Yun, the girl on her left who was the leader of the group.

“Soo Yun, so how do you feel towards your achievements so far?”

“We’re so happy and proud,” Soo Yun answered with a smile. “but we owe thanks to our fans. If it wasn’t for them, we wouldn’t be where we are now.”

It was true. The words coming out of Soo Yun’s mouth was all true. Their feelings towards their fans couldn’t be expressed through words at all. It’s been only 4 months since they debuted, and here they are facing cameras and bright lights, talking about their huge success with their first album that already reached top charts. Cho Yee couldn’t believe it. Here she was standing with the rest of the group, already in Japan from Korea, talking about their album’s success.

“Ano, lately people has compared you towards another very poplar group,” Cho Yee mind immediately snapped away from her thoughts as she heard another reporter speak. “Tohoshinki.”

Cho Yee could already feel the rest of the group stiffen in shock.

“Tohoshinki has always been known all over Asia, becoming one of the most powerful groups. Now it’s been less than a year and yet you are already reaching very close to them. Many other’s consider you as ‘a girl version of Tohoshinki.’ How do you feel about that? Do you consider them as rivals?”

Cho Yee gave the reporter an honest look. “We never considered ourselves competing with Tohoshinki.” She looked around the room. “They by far are way advanced and professional than we are. We are big supportive fans of them, so we never want anyone to think we’re trying to overcome Tohoshinki. They were the ones that inspired us to sing. We really wish to thank them. We love them.”

Again, more bright flashes blinded Cho Yee.

“Thank you for being here today,” a man in a jet black suit standing a few feet away from the group bowed slightly. His black hair was gelled back and his eyes were friendly yet alert. He then faced the crowd. “I hope all your questions were mostly answered. Thank you and have a good day.”

Cho Yee and the group faced the main camera and bowed. “Konnichiwa! This was LaLaGC! Sayonara!”

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Jaejoong flipped through the channels as his head rested on the arm chair. On the couch from left to right, sat Changmin, Junsu, Micky, Yunho, and Jaejoong. It was rare for them to have days off, yet they were wasting it doing nothing but resting at home.

Boring. Plain boring.

“Hyung! Stop changing the channels! Stick to one!” Xiah pouted as he sat back, his arms crossed in front of him.

Jaejoong huffed. He continued to surf through the channels. It wasn’t his fault he was bored. Every two minutes he’d press the button on the remote is he wasn’t entertained. He stared at the variety show that was displayed before him.

Next.

He saw five girls being interviewed for a music channel. The girl in the middle; the leader, he assumed, was talking. She was the tallest among the rest of the girls, and was also the only one with her hair tied into a long ponytail.

- If it wasn’t for them, we wouldn’t be where we are now.

“Yah!” Xiah exclaimed in Korean, even when they were in Japan. “That girl in blue looks pretty!”

“They all look pretty,” Micky muttered as he continued to flip through his magazine.

“They look new to the business,” Yunho spoke out softly. “Hey, you think that’s the leader talking?”

Jaejoong sighed as he looked at the rest of the group. Unconsciously, like a habit, he began to observe their hands.

Ano, lately people has compared you towards another very poplar group,” a reporter asked the group.

Jaejoong continued to look at their hands. He thought it annoying how some of the girls’ hands were fidgeting, but he found this one girl’s hands the prettiest. She was next to the girl in the center. She had shoulder length hair, the color of dark chocolate. Her eyes were bright and big, Jaejoong wondered if it was just the make up doing the magic. That was one of the many thinks that made Jaejoong roll his eyes whenever a very beautiful female celebrity came up on stage. He, and the rest of DBSK knew that mostly every female in the entertainment business wore a thick mask of make up. Jaejoong wondered how their skin could breathe through all those things applied into their face. But again, he was quite determined that the group on television is Korean, until he studied that one girl. She looked Japanese…

No…Korean…

Maybe Chinese?

Or is she mixed?

“Tohoshinki.”

Jaejoong’s eyes widened. He looked at the rest of the group, who’s attentions were snapped towards the television.

Jaejoong saw Yunho sit up at the corner of his eyes. His attention went back to the television screen as he saw the girl with the pretty hands begin to speak. For some reason, he found it strange. She looked somewhat familiar…

“We never considered ourselves competing with Tohoshinki.” He continued to observe her as she smiled at the camera. “They by far are way advanced and professional than we are. We are big supportive fans of them, so we never want anyone to think we’re trying to overcome Tohoshinki. They were the ones that inspired us to sing. We really wish to thank them. We love them.”

Jaejoong’s eyes widened in shock as it suddenly hit him. “Hey, I remember them.”
The rest of the group stared at him, puzzled. “What are you talking about?” Changmin asked as he absent mindedly closed his book that he was reading from.

Jaejoong looked into Yunho’s eyes, until he saw realization in them.

“Oh!”

Jaejoong remembered those girls. They would always come to their concerts, and he would always spot them, somewhere, with smiling faces, singing along as DBSK sang. He remembered the girl. He met her face to face during a signing event. That was the last time he saw him. It used to make his heart sink when he didn’t see them anymore during their concerts. He thought they didn’t like DBSK anymore.

“I don’t remember the name, but I remember her!” Jaejoong remembered her. He did. Because she was one of those fans that touched his heart. When she was next up in line during that signing event, she gave him a letter and told him that he saved her life. Jaejoong looked at the boys as they finally remembered.

“So they never stopped liking us!” Xiah laughed.

“Wahh, they haven’t changed much ne,” Changmin said in Japanese all of a sudden, as he looked at the television.

“Duh,” Micky rolled his eyes. “The last time we saw them was a year ago. They’ve missed so many of our concerts I thought we lost some of our most respectful fans!”
Jaejoong chuckled. “Now we know why.” Jaejoong smiled. He felt heart-warmed. He was seeing his fans become successful. And it was because of DBSK. The feeling was undescribable. He was proud of being in DBSK. VERY proud.

They looked back at the television, watching the girls bow.

“Konnichiwa! This was LaLaGC! Sayonara!” The girls disappeared, and the program began to show clips of their music videos.

“There you have it! That was LaLaGC! It was only four months ago since their debut and they’re already a huge success, influencing not only singing, but fashion and styles all of Asia. Asia loves their care-free, friendly, strong and confident personalities. We can’t wait for future activities they’ve stored for us!”

“So their group is called LaLaGC…” Jaejoong leaned back against the couch as he watched the group bow towards the camera with a warm smile.

In a few minutes, Xiah sprung up and ran out of their living room, coming back with his laptop a few minutes later.

“Let’s look them up! Internet is always reliable!”

Jaejoong grinned as he joined the group.
